Why he might be annoying:

    He is remembered in baseball lore as being part of a trade that questioned the integrity of White Sox GM Ken Williams.
    He was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays, when it was revealed Williams failed to disclose his shoulder injury to the team, until the deal was signed off by Major League Baseball.
    A year after the 'Shouldergate' controversy, he admitted to pitching with a hurt elbow late in the 2000 season, which caused permanent damage.
    He surrendered the lone hit in Garth Brooks' Spring Training baseball career.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He worked his way to the White Sox starting rotation in a two year span.
    He had a career high 15 wins in the season before he got injured.
    He was a member of the White Sox team that made their first playoff appearance since the 1993 ALCS.
    He harbored no grudges towards the White Sox organization in the years following the controversy.
