Why he might be annoying:

He smoked/
He had a heroin addiction which forced his temporary ouster from The Smiths.
He took part in a lawsuit with drummer Mike Joyce against singer Morrisey and guitarist Johnny Marr regarding the group's royalty payments.
While Rourke settled out of court for £84,000 to avoid penury, Joyce kept up the court case and eventually won a £1,000,000 verdict.
A few years after the £84.000 settlement, Rourke filed for bankruptcy.

Why he might not be annoying:

He learned he was fired via a postcard left on the windshield of his car which read: 'Andy — you have left The Smiths. Goodbye and good luck, Morrisey.'
Rourke said of his addictions: 'Heroin had been there, on and off, since I was 18. But I was getting a decent amount of money, which made it easier to keep scoring. At one point, I was spending a couple of hundred quid a day. How did I get straight? In the end I just grew up, basically.'
