The Resume

    (November 11, 1953- )
    Airs on BBC
Presented by Richard Dimbleby (1955-65), Robin Day (1966-2000), David Dimbleby (1974-82) and Jeremy Vine (2007-10)

Aired 'An Interview with HRH The Princess of Wales' on November 20, 1995

Why Panorama (BBC) might be annoying:

It hasn't had a regular presenter since 2010.
Its first host Pat Murphy (of the Daily Mail) lasted only a single show after accidentally broadcasting a technical mishap.
The name sounds like some defunct brand of HD-TV.
A January 1984 broadcast claiming that three Conservative MPs (Neil Hamilton, Harvey Proctor and Gerald Howarth) had links to far-right organizations led to a libel suit for BBC.
They backed out of an expose on the sexual abuse allegations against Jimmy Savile (admittedly because there was no available proof at the time).
Martin Bashir was revealed to have attained the program's famed Princess Diana interview through unethical and fraudulent means (November 2020).

Why Panorama (BBC) might not be annoying:

The Princess Diana interview was watched by nearly 23 million viewers in the UK alone.
It is the world's longest-running news television program as of 2021.
They broadcast a famous hoax film about the harvesting of the spaghetti crop on April Fool's Day, 1957.
A 1987 broadcast aired exposed the secret upper-level doctrines of the Church of Scientology for the first time.
A 2007 follow-up episode showed that the presenter - and the former Church members interviewed - had been harassed by Scientologists.
It was one of the first 'news programs' to enter the field of investigative journalism, paving the way for everything from 20/20 to 60 Minutes to Nightline.
It continued to be a ratings juggernaut despite lacking a regular host for over a decade.
