TV Reality Show Contestant
    (1990- )
    Born in Alpharetta, Georgia
    Hair stylist, model
    Resides in Brooklyn, New York
Contestant on Chris Soules' season of 'The Bachelor' (2015)
Eliminated in the Rose Ceremony on Week 3 (Jan. 2015)
Contestant on Season 2 of 'Bachelor in Paradise' (Summer, 2015)
Known for erratic and strange behavior on her season, earning her the nickname 'Crazy Ashley' and 'Onion Girl'
Trademark is to converse with animals knowing full well that they won't reply (cats, birds, etc.)
Known for spouting zany intellectualism, usually getting mixed up and drifting off into incoherent nihilism/existentialism ('you don't want to lose the world, but you also don't want to gain the world')
Chris Soules point blank called her crazy at every given opportunity in interviews.
Before she was officially pegged as 'crazy,' she was just known as 'that girl with the wacky eyes.'
'That's a freaking onion! I swear its an onion! If its a pomegranate then god bless it!'
She was accused of 'playing dumb' by diehard Bachelor Nation fans who claimed that her antics distracted from the show's story development.
She was visibly confused by the 'Zombie Hunting' date, mistakenly thinking that the object of the game was to shoot other contestants with the paintball guns.
Kaitlyn Bristowe basically summed up the entire cast's feelings by looking directly into the camera and saying 'people watch the show and see crazy people here and think that's staged, is she an actress ... is she really that crazy, and I'm here to tell everybody that Ashley is full-blown a crazy girl on The Bachelor!'
The producers claimed that she exited the show cussing out Soules and the show's staff about being 'a farce,' but it turned out to be an exaggeration, if anything just showing her dabble in existentialism ('Who? Who? Who? Chris, all I have to say to you is, nothing. Nothing').
She took the hot seat on the Bachelor Women Tell All episode, with the intention of setting the record straight to prove she wasn't crazy. The attempt for any number of reasons, not the least due to her stunned reaction to discover that the 'onion' she obsessed over was, indeed, a pomegranate.
She would make a cameo on Kaitlyn's Bachelorette season, when she inexplicably stopped by Salter's beauty salon for romantic advice, confused over whether or not to bring Nick Viall onto the show. Not surprisingly, she came out saying that she was 'more confused than ever.'
She was eccentric, but at least she wasn't maniacal or narcissistic.
Chris Harrison had an infatuated fixation on her throughout her season's run.
She lists her favorite films as 'Seven Pounds,' 'Sex and the City,' and 'Breakfast at Tiffany’s.'
When asked what she would do if she won the lottery, she said that she’d help her grandmother and uncle, but 'also buy some amazing Italian shoes!'
While most of the other contestants were either crying or complaining, she was exploring the Bachelor House, the surrounding area, and the various locales that the group dates were located in.
She keeled over from dehydration in the season's first episode, having to be removed from the island in an ambulance (interestingly no one seemed to care very much).
Her appearance on 'Bachelor in Paradise' disappointed many viewers who expected her to come off as a lunatic, again.
The production staff was accused of trying to reinforce the notion that she was a nut by accompanying her every appearance with comical music in the background, no matter what she was doing.
If ABC were intent on doing something other than portraying her as a mental case, she could be the next Teresa Ganzel or Carol Wayne on Late Night television.
She can be surprisingly introspective (listing her favorite fairy tale as Thumbelina because 'she’s persuaded by so many families to become a part of theirs, but in the end she follows her heart').
