He makes huge donations to political candidates to gain corporate influence in government.
The GAP Foundation donated $7½ million to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, but ignores requests to pay sweatshop workers fair wages (tax write off!).
He won a Humanitarian Award (what a lopsided world!).
He reincorporated his company in the state of Delaware, so that he can benefit from many tax loopholes.
He was a Delta Kappa Epsilon Fraternity brother.

Why he might not be annoying:

At the University of California at Berkeley, he was an all-American swimmer and star water polo player.
With GAP, Old Navy and Banana Republic, his stores cover a wide range of demographies.
Urban legend:
The GAP is an acronym that means 'Gay and Proud.' The truth is that the name pays homage to 'the generation gap' of the late '60s.
