    Born in Malartic, Quebec, Canada
Drafted 26th overall by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 1969 NHL Amateur Draft
Forward for the Pittsburgh Penguins (1969-70)
Died at the age of 21 as a result of complications from a brain injury.

Why he might be annoying:

Many modern Penguin fans don't acknowledge his contributions to the franchise.
He fathered a son out of wedlock.
He was involved in a single vehicle collision after he took a corner too sharply (May 15, 1970).
He wasn't wearing a seat belt, which played a contributing factor in his eventual death.
His number 21 he wore with the Penguins wasn't officially retired by the team until 2001, despite the fact it was out of circulation for 30 years.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was one of the first stars in the history of the Penguins franchise.
He was determined to spend his entire career playing for the Penguins.
He was the second player in franchise history to have his number retired.
He scored the first playoff series winning goal for the Penguins franchise (1970).
Following his death, the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League posthumously named their league MVP trophy in his honor.
