    His NFL career ended after one season.
    He had a nomadic coaching career, prior to landing the head coaching position at Georgia
    He was one of the Dolphins coaches to follow Nick Saban to Alabama at the end of the 2006 season.
    His first four seasons at Georgia were remembered for having a good team, but not good enough to win a national championship.

    His contributions to the Georgia football program were largely ignored by college football pundits, prior to the 2021 National Championship Game.

    He is among a select few to be associated with the Georgia football program as both a player and coach.
