He was an excellent negotiator and diplomat.
His election as pope was heralded because of his piety, knowledge, and leadership abilities.
He chose the name 'Urban' as a reminder to always be kind to everyone.
His first acts were aimed at helping the poor, even paying for some out of his own pocket.
Had he lived, he probably would have been remembered as one of the best popes.
He willed his entire estate to the poor.
