One of the strongest players, John, was the first person eliminated.
The Tribal Council area looked like an imperial palace rather than a makeshift meeting site that would have been assembled by real castaways.
They had to put up with Ghandia's frivolous 'bump-and-grind' accusations against Ted.
The tribes did not merge at the time everyone expected, though they did share living space for a time as separate tribes.
This threw off Shii Ann's plans to align with the other tribe, and she got voted off by her own tribemates, who immediately saw her as a traitor.
Even though Sook Jai won three out of the first four tribal immunity challenges, Chuay Gahn won all of the last four.
At one point, Sook Jai ended up losing its last seven members in a row at Tribal Council.
Like Survivor: Africa, they made it seem like they were counting the finale's jury votes at the game site, but it turned out they were doing it at the reunion show studio all along.
Jeff Probst considers this cycle one of his least favorite, even calling this game's Final Four 'the least likeable' ever.
Not surprisingly, only one castaway (Shii Ann) was invited to Survivor: All Stars.
The oldest players in the game got to pick their teammates in a draft held at the beginning.
Even though castaways were given the chance to voluntarily switch tribes, no one chose to mutiny (though in hindsight, doing so might have helped Shii Ann a lot more).
Brian became the first player ever to win both the final immunity challenge and the title of Sole Survivor.
