    Co-wrote 'Meet the Feebles' (1989), 'Braindead' (1992), 'Heavenly Creatures' (1994), 'Jack Brown Genius' (1994), 'The Frighteners' (1996), the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy (2001-03), 'King Kong' (2005) and 'The Lovely Bones' (2009)

Why she might be annoying:

    Almost all her writing is for films directed by her husband.
    She sued the 'NZ Listener' for running a critical article about the New Zealand film industry by journalist Frances Walsh, claiming readers would be misled into thinking she wrote the article.
    She refused to do an interview for the LOTR DVDs.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She played in a punk band in the 80s.
    Jackson noted, 'I'm obviously very visually oriented and Fran is very good on dialogue and character, so we complement each other quite well.'
    She won three Oscars for 'The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King' -- as producer, screenwriter and composer of the song 'Into the West.'
