    (January 26, 1887-May 9, 1915)
    Born and died in France
    Represented Luxembourg
Winner of the 1909 Tour de France

Why he might be annoying:

He is known more for his wacky death than his cycling feat.
He joined the French Foreign Legion during World War I.
On May 9, 1915, while in a trench, he received a telegram stating his wife had given birth to a daughter.
Faber jumped for joy at the news.
A German sniper spotted his cheering and shot him dead.

Why he might not be annoying:

In 1909, he was the first non-French winner of the Tour de France.
He won 5 consecutive stages of the tour, a record which has yet to be broken.
Luxembourg holds a bicycle race in his honor.
He was a proud father, if only for a moment.
