Musician
    (July 4, 1956-October 11, 2021)
    Born in Detroit, Michigan
Birth name was Jeffrey Deon Estus
    Bass guitarist and singer
Member of the band Brainstorm (1977-79)
Played on albums by Wham! and George Michael
Recorded the album ‘Spell’ (1989) and the single ‘Heaven Help Me’ (with George Michael, 1989)
He was into juice fasting. (‘No food. It cleans your whole system out.’)
    He was a one-hit wonder.
His one hit basically rode on George Michael’s post-‘Faith’ coattails. (In addition to providing backing vocals, Michael also produced and co-wrote the song.)
He learned bass guitar from Motown legend James Jamerson.
’Heaven Help Me’ was a top five hit on Billboard’s pop, R&B, and adult contemporary charts.
In addition to George Michael and Wham!, he played bass on records by Tina Turner, Elton John, Frank Zappa, George Clinton, Annie Lennox, and Edgar Winter.
