Why he might be annoying
He got kicked off the Soviet international team when they heard about his plan to defect to North America.
He wore the broomball style helmet for the majority of his NHL career.
He went and played in Italy during the 1992-93 season as a result of a contract dispute with the Canucks.
He refused to play for the team and demanded a trade.
He was traded from the Panthers for sparingly used defenseman Yan Golubovsky (2000).
He's the only member of the 'KLM Line' not to win an individual award.
