Why he might be annoying:

He ran away from home at twelve and was forced to live in a garage.
He suffered from depression, mainly due to his troubled upbringing.
While a critical favorite, his show 'Titus' was cancelled after only a few seasons on the air.
He named his daughter Kennie.

Why he might not be annoying:

His father was an alcoholic who married three times during Christopher's youth and also kept mistresses.
His biological mother was legally insane and ended up shooting her second husband and later herself.
He developed his own brand of 'therapeutic stand-up comedy' to deal with his upbringing and later won his own television show based on his life.
Despite the bad blood between them, he named his first dauighter after his father.
Some of the plots on 'Titus' were based on real life things that happened to him.
