Why he might be annoying:

He butted heads with Ray Rhodes in his last season with the Eagles.
He retired prior to the 1996 season, only to come out of retirement and play for the Vikings the following year.
He posted a record of 5-7 in the playoffs.
He was relegated to backup in the later stages of his career.
Speculations are that Whitney Houston's single 'Didn't We Almost Have It All' is about their relationship in the mid 1980s.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is one of the first African-American quarterbacks to become an NFL starter.
He is one of the first QB's to mix both rushing and passing to his game style.
He was the first quarterback under Dennis Green to win a playoff game (1998).
He guided the Vikings to a 15-1 record which is the best in franchise history (1998).
He was considered the best quarterback in Eagles history, prior to the arrival of Donovan McNabb.
His 2-year-old son tragically drowned in a hot tub (June 29, 2010).
