Drafted 12th overall by the New York Rangers in the 1983 NFL Draft
Forward for the New York Rangers (1984-87), Minnesota North Stars/ (1987-96), <10825>Toronto Maple Leafs (1996), Calgary Flames (1996-97), Florida Panthers (1997-99) and the Vancouver Canucks (1999)

Why he might be annoying:

He was a journeyman forward.
He nearly quit hockey in his early 20's after he was sent to the minors.
He struggled to crack the Rangers on a full time basis, due to the team feeling he was too small for a forward.
He played on four different teams in the final three years of his career.
His offensive production dried up considerably during his final season, which was split between the Panthers and Canucks.

Why he might not be annoying:

He established himself as a mainstay in the NHL upon his trade to the North Stars.
He was a member of the North Stars team that made a surprise run to the Stanley Cup Finals (1991).
He served as an alternate captain for both the Stars and Flames franchises.
He started up a business that specializes in building customized backyard hockey rinks, following his retirement from hockey.
He was able to coach his son, Sam, while the latter was a member of the OHL's London Knights.
