    He released more than a hundred albums, and earned several accolades.
    He performed the popular Australian folk song 'Waltzing Matilda' at the closing ceremonies for the 1984 VFL Grand Final (Australia's equivalent to the Super Bowl) and the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics.
    He was Australia's answer to Gene Autry and Johnny Cash.
