Fox called the website 'mean spirited.'
Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe called them 'a fly buzzing around a cow.'
They broke the news about Antonella Barba's racy online pictures, then made headlines again for proving that the raciest pics were not her, but a look-alike.
If they were responsible for even one extra week of Sanjaya....

Fox's comments are pretty hypocritical given their 'best of the worst' audition specials.
They got a shoutout from Season 6 contestant Chris Sligh.
Della Terza called the Howard Stern Show and debated the 'vote Sanjaya' campaign with Eric the Midget.
In choosing a contestant to back, they factor in personality and who ticks off the judges (especially Simon) in addition to subpar singing.
Della Terza said of Sanjaya, 'He comes out every week and just embraces being silly. I love it.'
