The Resume

    (August 17, 2006-October 19, 2006)
    Born in United Kingdom
UK TV series featuring Amanda Donohoe and Kris Marshall (pictured) as homicide detectives solving murders in modern day London
Recognizable for its flashy opening and closing credits and heavy use of music

Why Murder City might be annoying:

There was no pilot nor a series finale to wrap things up.
It did poorly in the ratings and only lasted ten episodes.
The murder cases were overly and in some instances ludicrously overly complex with most episodes featuring two murders initially thought unrelated but later shown to be connected.
    Is London really that violent?
The regular characters on the show tended to the stereotypical; the officious bureaucrat, the by the book type, the wild card, the rookie, etc..
The DVD release was weak with few of the standard features; deleted scenes, behind the scenes, the making of, etc..
The title was a bit over the top.

Why Murder City might not be annoying:

The cast top to bottom was fantastic.
The directing, the use of music, production values, etc. was across the board original and superbly done.
The racially and ethnically diverse cast was outstanding and had fantastic chemistry.
As the show went on, the supporting cast was featured far more than in the early episodes.
It's been popular in the United States on DVD.
The dialogue is considerably easier for American audiences to understand than most contemporary British TV shows especially British TV cops shows such as Blue Murder.
