The Resume

    (May 13, 1994- )
    Rapper, blogger, and activist
    Resides in West Baltimore, Maryland
Member of the musical group, 'The Love of Culture'
    Founder of the #BMoreHEARD Foundation
Active with the #BlackLivesMatter movement and Brothers in Action, Inc.
Confronted Fox News' Geraldo Rivera during his Hannity segment, over the media's biased coverage of the city in a YouTube video gone viral (Apr. 28, 2015)

Why he might be annoying:

He shares a name with the runner-up on the first season of The Apprentice.
Some took issue with his ordering 'the white media' to get out of Baltimore during his tangent.
He rejects the term 'African-American,' instead identifying as an 'Americanized African.'
He endorsed the #BlackLives Matter movement holding up highway traffic.
His heated argument with Geraldo played into the stereotype of 'the angry black male.'
Like Toya Graham, he gained an unexpected amount of publicity as the face of the Baltimore riots in the wake of Freddie Gray's death.
He perhaps naively believed that by saying 'this is not for Youtube' and telling the surrounding crowd to 'turn off the cameras' that they would do so (he later criticized those who did so in an open message).
Geraldo accused him of displaying 'exactly that kind of youthful anarchy that led to the destruction and pain in that community.'
He is a student of Critical Race Theory (e.g., posting 'white institutions and America cannot save black people' and 'whiteness will lose its power, once those with blackness start to recognize theirs' on his social media feeds).

Why he might not be annoying:

He became Geraldo's own Jeremy Glick.
He took part in Baltimore's 10-mile '300 Men March' across North Avenue in 2013.
He criticized the Women on 20s movement for campaigning to have Harriet Tubman on the $20 bill.
Fox continually replayed his interrupting Geraldo's correspondence without playing the video of the confrontation in its full context.
Rivera waged a one-sided war of words with him, repeatedly attacking him as a 'obnoxious,' 'narcissistic,' 'annoying,' 'a vandal,' and 'an obstructionist.'
Conservative outlets tried to argue that Geraldo's Hispanic ethnicity somehow exonerated him from the charge of race baiting (where have we heard that one before...)
He was present during Marilyn Mosby's announcement that the 5 Baltimore officers involved in Gray's death would be indicted (May 1, 2015).
He was pinned and followed by campaign security during Martin O'Malley's Presidential announcement rally for live tweeting criticisms of O'Malley in real time (May 30, 2015).
He accused the media of dehumanizing black police shooting victim, Walter Scott, by attacking his character without mentioning that he was an Army veteran.
He criticized the Veterans Affairs Department for misdiagnosing his grandfather's fatal cancer to be arthritis and allowing it to go untreated until it was too late.
He later said of the incident, 'I want people to know that this issue is bigger than some clip of me, it's about Black Lives ... I sat and watched the media set up their camps in front of boarded up homes while we were cleaning up the streets as one community. The cameras weren't rolling, nobody cared.'
