    At the time of the accident, she and driver Dr. Carl Wagner were leaving an all-night party.
    The day before the crash, she mused to a reporter, 'You know, they say deaths go in cycles of three. First it was Lilyan Tashman, then Lew Cody. I wonder who'll be next?'
    She dated crooner Russ Colombo who would also die young in an accident.

Why she might not be annoying:

    She got childhood friend Dorothy Lamour her first big break in vaudeville.
    He comedic chops in 'Shoot the Works' earned comparisons with Mae West.
    At the time of her death, she had been signed for her first romantic lead, in the film 'Now and Forever,' and had gotten engaged to caricaturist Nat Carson.
