Cheered their team to World Championships in 1909, '25, '60, '71, and '79

Why they might be annoying:

Their team is Pittsburgh's 'forgotten' sports team, after the Steelers, Penguins, University of Pittsburgh football team and local area high school teams.
Despite their loyalty to Barry Bonds, he left them for San Francisco.
When Bonds made his first appearance in Pittsburgh as a Giant, many of them held up posters with his picture on them, with the caption 'wanted for treason' or 'Benedict Bonds.'
Three Rivers Stadium was so disliked that they named the bond to build PNC Park after the previous park, The Forbes Field Bond.

Why they might not be annoying:

They witnessed one of the great moments in baseball, Bill Mazeroski's walk off home run to win game 7 in the bottom of the 9th of the 1960 World Series (a replica of the section of the wall the ball went over has been rebuilt in the Hall of Fame.
Their ball park has the second smallest capacity.
In 1997, The Forbes Field Bond raised $216 million to build PNC Park.
They enjoy a great rivalry with the Cincinnati Reds, Chicago Cubs, and Philadelphia Phillies.
From 1908 to 1970, they enjoyed games in quaint Forbes Field.
During 1979 their good luck charm was Sister Sledge singing 'We are Family.'
In 1979, fans started wearing gold stars. Player Willie Stargel gave players gold stars when they did something great.
Their stadium's right field fence is 21 feet high in honor of #21 Roberto Clemente.
Their park offers them a great view of Roberto Clemente Bridge and downtown Pittsburgh.
They can enjoy dinner at Outback Steakhouse, built into PNC Park.
They enjoy eating at mall type food courts in the stadium.
During game day, Roberto Clemente bridge is closed to motor traffic so fans may walk to the ball park from downtown Pittsburgh.
They pay tribute to statues of Honus Wagner and Roberto Clemente as they enter the park.
