Why he might be annoying
His nickname is 'Jonesy.'
He admitted he would not have had the opportunities he got in hockey if his father didn't work for the Canucks.
The Kings traded him to the Bruins, who in turn flipped him to the Sharks as a way not to deal directly with a divisional rival.
He continued the Sharks goaltending trend of having solid regular seasons, then flame out come playoff time.
Some hockey pundits felt he was overworked during the early part of his tenure with the Sharks.
Why he might not be annoying
He was a standout goaltender with the Calgary Hitmen of the Western Hockey League.
He played well enough during his initial call up to the Kings, that the team felt confident enough to trade Ben Scrivens in order to promote him to the role of backing up Jonathan Quick.
He earned a Stanley Cup ring as a member of the Kings (2014).
He proved to be a capable replacement over Antti Niemi in the Sharks crease.
He did something that longtime starters Niemi, Evgeni Nabokov and Arturs Irbe couldn't do by guiding the Sharks to the franchise's first appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals (2016).
