She practiced strange sex techniques with Napoléon that sometimes awoke the whole household.
Her divorce to Napoléon was the first under the Napoleonic Code.
Why she might not be annoying
She was very popular among the people.
Her first husband was guillotined during the Reign of Terror of the French Revolution (1794).
She was also arrested, but was saved from execution thanks to the death of Robespierre.
Napoléon reluctantly divorced her when she couldn't bear him an heir.
Despite their rocky relationship, Napoléon always remained in love with her.
Napoléon's dying word was reportedly 'Joséphine.'
