Why he might be annoying
He copied his father's 'Foligno Leap', upon making it to the NHL.
He missed a significant portion of the 2009-10 season after he blocked a shot which broke his leg.
He chose #71, since it was an inversion of his father's #17.
He looks like a dead ringer for Joaquin Phoenix.
He couldn't reach an agreement with the Senators on a contract extension, which played a key factor in the team's decision to trade him.
Why he might not be annoying
He is the son of long time Buffalo Sabres forward Mike Foligno.
He is involved in various charities relating to cancer, as he lost his mother Janis to breast cancer, in his third NHL season.
He served as one of the captains at the NHL All-Star Game, which was played in Columbus.
He was the first player in three years, since Rick Nash's departure to be appointed the team's captaincy.
