His actual name is Yevgeny Yevgenyevich.
He does outlandish goal scoring celebrations.
Despite leading the playoffs in scoring, he lost out on the Conn Smythe Trophy voting to Alex Ovechkin.
He was caught in a scandal where he was seen in a Las Vegas hotel room with cocaine hours after the Caps Stanley Cup victory.
He was suspended by the IIHF from international competition in wake of the cocaine scandal (August 23, 2019).
Why he might not be annoying
His first NHL goal was a short-handed marker.
He recorded 32 points in 24 playoff games during the Capitals Stanley Cup championship run.
He scored the series clinching overtime goal in Game 6 against the Pittsburgh Penguins, ending the team's playoff futility streak against them.
He said Ovechkin told him to 'just fucking score' as he passed him the puck in the series clinching game.
He was a member of three Gold medal winning teams in both the World Juniors and World Championships (2011, 2012, 2014).
