Why they might be annoying:

They probably wouldn't have gotten too much attention had it not been for Jakob's famous dad.
All but Jakob and Rami left the band after 1992.
Their first album only sold around 25,000 copies.
Their popularity quickly went down a few years after ‘Bringing Down the Horse' came out.
Their music is laid back, and doesn't have very much energy. Because of this, they've been called ‘the #15274>Dire Straits of alternative rock.'

Why they might not be annoying:

Bruce Springsteen performed ‘One Headlight' on stage with them at the 1997 MTV VMA's.
‘One Headlight' won Grammys for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance.
Some of the old band members had success with other bands. Peter went on to play with for Natalie Merchant and Morningwood, and Rami toured on the Foo Fighters' acoustic tour.
Their musical influences include The Clash, Tom Petty, Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan.
They drew comparisons to the Counting Crows, and got Adam Duritz to record ‘6th Avenue Heartache' with the band.
