Why she might be annoying:

Her career all but vanished after the early 70's
At sixteen, she changed her name. Carne came from a 'Sister Bonaventure' character.
She was Laugh-in's 'Sock it to Me Girl.' She would say 'Sock it to Me' and then get pails of fluid flung at her or she would get hit on the head.
She was typecast as the comedic British girl on TV.
She quit 'Laugh-in' after two seasons, upset that her dancing and singing talents were being ignored.
She was married at least four time and two were very quick marriages that ended in divorce.
Her divorce from Burt Reynolds was very nasty and public.
She used all forms of drugs and became a heroin addict.
She had a few arrests for drug possession.
She married Robert Bergmann, who was years younger than her. The marriage broke up months later.
She owed $65,000 in back taxes (1972).
While shooting an episode of 'Hollywood Squares' she fell asleep in her square, which became her last appearance on 'Hollywood Squares.'
She was in the act of selling her home to pay her back taxes when Penthouse offered her $50,000 to pose with another woman. She turned it down and put her house up for sale.
She and Betsy von Furstenberg got into a fight while performing on a Chicago stage in 'Absurd Person Singular.' The fight was the two of them mostly throwing drinks in each other's face.
She asked Burt Reynolds to lend her $500 promising to use it to enter drug rehab. Instead, she took the money and purchased cocaine (1975).

Why she might not be annoying:

Because fans knew her from 'Laugh-in,' many times she had to duck out of the way as some moron would yell 'sock it to me' and throw drinks at her. She tended to remain a good sport about it.
She was the cute British girl with the pixie/shag haircut wearing a mini-skirt.
She was highly visible on TV in the 60's.
She broke her neck in an auto accident after pleading with Robert Bergmann, who was drugged up to stop driving (1978). She eventually sued him and won $95,000 to pay back her father, who paid her medical expenses.
She never asked any of her ex-husbands for alimony.
After her divorce from Burt Reynolds, she had a lesbian relationship with someone named Ashley.
She went for a dinner interview at the twenty-one club wearing a pants suit. At the door, she was told they had a strict policy of not allowing in women with pants on. She removed her pants, using her jacket as a cover up.
On the Ed Sullivan Show, Ed introduced her as Judy Crane (July 20, 1969).
She eventually sought treatment at an Oklahoma State run hospital using her name J.(udy) C.(arne) Reynolds (1977).
