The Resume

    (1940-October 11, 2014)
Stuntman in over 150 films, including 'The Wild Bunch' (1969), 'Beneath the Planet of the Apes' (1970), 'The Longest Yard' (1974), 'Blade Runner' (1982), 'Police Academy' (1984), 'The Terminator' (1984), 'F/X' (1986), 'Rambo III' (1988), 'Ghost' (1990), 'Jurassic Park' (1993), 'Last Action Hero' (1993), 'From Dusk Til Dawn' (1996) and 'Gone in Sixty Seconds' (2000)
Stunt coordinator for the films 'Animal House' (1978), 'The Blues Brothers' (1980), 'Twilight Zone: The Movie' (1983), 'Beverly Hills Cop' (1984), 'Beverly Hills Cop II' (1988) and 'Days of Thunder' (1990)
Died in a car crash in Rancho Cordova, California, with fellow stuntman Bob Orrison

Why he might be annoying:

In the credits of 'Jurassic Park,' his name was misspelled 'McClarty.'
He was stunt coordinator on 'Twilight Zone: The Movie,' in which Vic Morrow and two child actors were killed by a falling helicopter when a stunt went wrong.
He fatally shot his housemate, Daniel Deppe, then hid the gun before police arrived (1991).
He abused cocaine and marijuana for several decades.
He had paranoid delusions that his phone and house were bugged, that his family was conspiring against him, that satellite dishes were tracking his movements, and that people were tunneling beneath his house.
He claimed that Robert Blake offered him $10,000 to murder Bonnie Bakley.
He sold his story to the tabloids before going to the police.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was nicknamed 'Whiz Kid' for his all-around stunt talents, which included working with cars, motorcycles and horses, fights, fires, and high falls.
For a famous scene in 'Animal House,' he rode D-Day's motorcycle up the fraternity house stairs.
He warned director John Landis that the 'Twilight Zone' scene was too dangerous.
Prosecutors declined to charge him over Deppe's death, ruling it self defense. (Deppe had a history of violent crimes; at the time of the shooting, police were searching for Deppe to serve a warrant on rape charges.)
