Why he might be annoying:

He was a switch hitter.
His career batting average was .150.
He only played in one game in the 1981 NLCS.
As he managed the White Sox to the 2000 ALDS, they were swept by Seattle Mariners in three games.
He got into an argument with Jose Reyes concerning his risk of injuries in the field (2008).
He was nicknamed 'The American Gangster' during his time with the Mets.
