Why he might be annoying
He publicly stated he was going to pursue a football career full time after being drafted by the Oakland A's.
He was primarily used as a wildcat quarterback during his freshman season.
He transferred from Texas A&M to Oklahoma in search of guaranteed playing time.
His first year at Oklahoma saw him essentially serve as a caretaker quarterback, as he often relieved Baker Mayfield in blowout games.
Some football pundits felt he wouldn't succeed in the NFL ranks as he is too small of a quarterback.
Why he might not be annoying
He comes from strong athletic lineage, as his father Kevin was a quarterback at Texas A&M in the 1980's and his uncle Calvin was an outfielder for the San Francisco Giants in the late 1990's
He and Baker Mayfield are the first quarterbacks from the same university to be drafted with the first overall selection in consecutive years.
He was the first quarterback under six feet tall to be drafted first overall.
He threw over 4,000 yards and recorded 40 touchdown passes in his lone season as the Sooners starting quarterback.
He was so highly sought after by the Cardinals, that they traded Josh Rosen, whom they drafted a year earlier to select him.
