The Resume

    (August 20, 1961-August 14, 2020)
Born in New York City, New York
Appeared in the films ‘Days of Heaven’ (1978), ‘The Wanderers’ (1979), ‘Out of the Blue’ (1980), ‘The Game’ (1997), and ‘Gummo’ (1997)

Why she might be annoying:

She was a ‘winner’ of a Stinkers Bad Movie Award for ‘Worst Fake Accent: Female’ for ‘Days of Heaven.’
’Days of Heaven’ director Terence Malick said, ‘At first it was a bit frustrating to work with her. She couldn’t remember her lines.’
She said about her inability to follow up ‘Days of Heaven’ and ‘Out of the Blue,’ ‘There was a whole bunch of new young actors out there, and I was kinda getting lost in the shuffle.’
During a 2011 interview, she admitted, ‘I’m not a movie buff…. I haven’t been to a movie in twenty years.’

Why she might not be annoying:

She never knew her father, who walked out on the family when she was two.
Malick had her watch the rough cut of ‘Days of Heaven,’ recorded her spontaneous reactions, and edited them to serve as the narration for the film.
Malick called her ‘the heart of the film.’
Director Harmony Korine called her ‘one of the top five screen presences of all time – right up there with Lillian Gish and Gena Rowlands.’
Chloe Sevigny and Natasha Lyonne were fans of her performance in the punk rock cult film ‘Out of the Blue.’
