The Resume

    (February 17, 1903-February 5, 1972)
    Born in Chatham, Ontario, Canada
Birth name was Kenneth Duncan MacLachlan
Appeared in over 250 movies, mostly Westerns

Why he might be annoying:

Because he usually portrayed villains, he was dubbed 'the meanest man in motion pictures.'
He ended his film career in grade-Z schlock like 'The Astounding She-Monster' (1958) and a pair of Ed Wood classics, 'Night of the Ghouls' (1959) and 'The Sinister Urge' (1960).
He was a womanizer who kept a book with the names of over a thousand women he claimed to have slept with.
He committed suicide by overdosing on barbiturates.

Why he might not be annoying:

Before taking up acting, he was a jockey in his native Canada, including winning a steeplechase at the Blue Bonnets raceway in Montreal.
He named Wood as the executor of his estate. After the funeral, a wake was held by the side of Wood's pool, with each guest taking turns standing on the diving board to reminisce about Duncan.
He was reportedly well endowed; makeup man Harry Thomas saw him naked and years later told an interviewer, 'You know, all men are not created equal.'
