Why he might be annoying:

He went by 'Sarge' in the game.
He was the leader of the Flab Five consisting of the older, less fit members of the Lopevi tribe. He organized them to vote off the younger, fitter Lopevi members at the beginning of the game.
His plan took down his entire team.
He bared his rear end under the sun after Julie coaxed him into doing so.
He referred to Dolly as Barbie.
He was manipulated by Julie, who used her youth and sex appeal to buy herself more time on the island.

Why he might not be annoying:

He is a strong swimmer.
He bonded with Twila despite her being on the Yasur tribe.
Despite his desire for bacon and pork chops, he warmed up to a pig who joined the camp.
He was respected among his tribe members who chose him as the tribe's chief.
He is married for 20 years and is a family man with one dog and two cats.
As an Army sergeant, he served in various contingencies with the most recent being Iraq.
