His parents and stepmothers are all siblings.

He is one of the world’s youngest monarchs.
He rules Bhutan as a constitutional monarch rather than as an absolute one.
He was educated in various colleges, such as Phillips Academy, Cushing Academy, Wheaton College, and Magdalen College, University of Oxford.
When he visited Thailand, the local press called him ‘Prince Charming’ (June 12-June 13, 2006).
He encourages democratization in Bhutan.
