    He complains about the economic struggles of African-Americans, yet his mom was a doctor and he grew up privileged.
    During a Hurricane Katrina telethon, he proclaimed George W. Bush didn't like black people.
    He rudely interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards claiming Beyonce should have won (September 13, 2009).
    He allegedly assaulted an 18- year-old at a doctor's office who reportedly insulted Kim Kardashian. (January 15, 2014)
Why he might not be annoying
    He was one of the hottest producers in hip hop music.
    He was involved in a serious car accident that left him with a fractured jaw (2002).
    He recorded 'Through The Wire' while his jaw was still wired shut.
    His video for 'Jesus Walks' takes on such issues as poverty and racism.
    Many of his songs deal with social issues.
