Baseball Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

He never stayed on one team for more then three seasons, prior to his stint with the Dodgers.
He brought his mom along with him to a tryout for the Yankees farm team in Columbus, Ohio during the late 1980's.
He was traded to Los Angeles against his wishes, in which he publicly complained about.
The trade made Reds general manager Jim Bowden come off as heartless, due to the fact he didn't give him a no-movement clause in his contract extension, as well as come off as hypocritical by saying he had no plans to trade him when he actually did.
He never made a post-season appearance during his 12 year playing career.

Why he might not be annoying:

He initially tried out for the Reds while he was attending the University of Rio Grande.
He led the National League in saves (1997).
His decision to sign with the Reds in free agency was largely in part to Cincinnati being in close proximity to his home base of Washington Court House, where his family resided.
He made two All-Star appearances during his career (1998, 2001).
He stated his decision to retire on his own terms after his contract with the Dodgers expired was largely due to family reasons.
