Why he might be annoying:

He blew a playoff game against the Cleveland Indians when he got swarmed by the bugs at Jacobs Field (wuss!).
He got the name ‘Joba’ because his father liked how a young cousin pronounced the name of her brother, ‘Joshua.’
He is unoriginally nicknamed ‘Joba the Hutt’ or ‘Joba the Hot.’
The Yankees made a big deal about managing his innings when transitioning him from relief to starter, coming from injury, etc.
He was arrested for DUI (2008).

Why he might not be annoying:

His father raised him by himself despite suffering the effects of polio.
He went from high school bat boy to major league baseball pitcher.
He led Nebraska to the College World Series.
He was the highest drafted American Indian in MLB history.
Some New Jersey goof got arrested for impersonating Chamberlain to get free drinks and girls (2008).
He wears #62 to honor his childhood friend, Nate Raun, who at age 12, died of brain cancer. Nate wore #8 and he chose 62 because the digits add up to 8.
His mother was a drug addict who abandoned her family.
