Defenseman for the Dallas Stars (1997-99), Atlanta Thrashers (1999-2001) and the Calgary Flames (2001-03)
Why he might be annoying
He almost ended his own hockey career by falling asleep while driving (1995).
As a result of the near fatal collision, his draft stock fell considerably, as he was projected to be a top 10 pick by hockey pundits.
He played a total of four career games with the Stars over a course of two seasons.
He publicly complained about Calgary's harsh winters shortly after being traded to the Flames.
His numbers dropped off considerably in is last few NHL seasons following his breakout season.
Why he might not be annoying
He had a two metal plates and twenty one screws inserted into his extremities following his accident.
Despite his injuries, he attended the 1995 NHL Entry Draft in Edmonton in a wheelchair.
He was claimed by the Thrashers in the 1999 Expansion Draft and was a member of the inaugural opening night roster.
He was the first member of the Atlanta Thrashers to play in the NHL All-Star Game as he played for the World roster (2000).
