Why he might be annoying:

He was stripped of his heavyweight title for refusing to fight the challenger, instead accepting a more lucrative offer from Gerry Cooney.
His loss to Tyson took four seconds less than the singing of the National Anthem before the bout.
He plead guilty to 'offensive touching' following an argument with his girlfriend (2002).

Why he might not be annoying:

He and Leon were the first brothers to win boxing gold medals at the same Olympics and the first brothers to both be heavyweight champs.
He was the first light heavyweight to win the world heavyweight title.
To move up to the heavyweight division, he gained 20 pounds while reducing his body fat from 9% to 7%.
His wife died in a car crash, leaving him a single father (1981).
Unlike his brother (or most other boxers for that matter) he kept close watch on his finances and has remained wealthy during his retirement.
