Why Person of Interest might be annoying
It is another police/spy drama with a dim pessimistic view.
It drew comparisons to another espionage thriller ('Homeland') airing on a CBS-owned network.
There are intense scenes of torture and gore.
The series his heavily reliant on flashbacks.
Because of the very dark nature of the program, casual viewers may have trouble determining who the real heroes and villains are.
Why Person of Interest might not be annoying
It was created by Christopher Nolan's brother, Jonathan.
At least Ben Linus is somewhat of a hero in this series!
It cast a few other famous faces such as Caviezel and Henson.
Sometimes the camera zooms out and pans across to what seems to be a board of surveillance camera monitors in order to move between scenes.
Mary McNamara of the Los Angeles Times praised the series saying, 'The notion of preventing crimes rather than solving them is an appealing twist...The surveillance graphics are very cool.'
In fact, many critics laud the series for continuing the trend of high octane procedural thrillers (such as Homeland, Rubicon, and 24) set amidst the post 9/11 world.
