His name was rather short compared to other Biblical people.
God turned his wife into salt for looking back at Sodom and Gomorrah (ouch).
He did whatever God told him.
His daughters got him drunk and had him sleep with them, causing them to become pregnant.
His existence is questionable.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was a very moral person (aside from drunken incest).
He lost his wife unexpectedly.
He was loved by his uncle.
When everyone else decided to go crazy, he didn't jump on the bandwagon.
