Why they might be annoying:

They are a two-hit wonder.
Various studio musicians were used throughout their tenure.
Rocca and Stennet recorded songs under the pseudo band names 'Pictures' and 'Pink Rhythm.'
Rocca's falsetto could get on one's last nerve.
After Stennet left the band, Rocca went through a variety of musicians before pulling the plug on the group in 1984.

Why they might not be annoying:

Their 1981 song 'Southern Freeez' ushered a jazz-funk dance sound that took U.K. DJs and clubbers by storm.
'I.O.U.' was produced and mixed by Arthur Baker, who was known for his work with New Order.
In July 1983 'I.O.U.' spent two weeks at number one on Billboard's Dance chart.
A 1987 remix of 'I.O.U.' hit #18 on the U.S. Dance chart and #23 on the U.K. Singles chart.
As a solo artist, Rocca hit #1 twice on the U.S. Hot Dance Club Play charts with 1984's 'I Want It To Be Real' and 1993's 'Shine,' under pseudo name Midi Rain.
