Hockey Player

The Resume

Why he might be annoying:

His trade from Montreal to Chicago was seen as a 'donation' since the Black Hawks were looking for cheaper players in order to stay afloat.
He played in three games with the Canadiens in two seasons combined, prior to his first full season in 1954-55.
Despite guiding the Leafs to three consecutive Stanley Cups, he was demoted to the minors prior to the start of the 1964-65 season.
During his stint with the Leafs, he was berated by his coach, Punch Imlach for his style of play.
Despite posting respectable numbers and various accolades, he was snubbed by the Hockey Hall of Fame.

Why he might not be annoying:

He helped establish a winning culture with the Black Hawks, and served as the team captain during the 1960-61 season in which they captured the Stanley Cup.
He won four consecutive Stanley Cup championships (1961-1964) and two Calder Cup championships with Rochester of the American Hockey League.
He is the first player in hockey history to win six consecutive championships in the professional ranks.
He recorded three consecutive 30 goal seasons during the prime years of his career (1956-59).
Despite not posting Hall of Fame worthy numbers, he was a serviceable forward who provided solid leadership to every team he played for.
