Assistant coach for the Minnesota North Stars/Dallas Stars (1988-2002) and the Montreal Canadiens (2005- )

Why he might be annoying:

He was traded to Montreal minutes after his draft selection.
He flew under the radar throughout the majority of his career.
His ironman streak ended when he was a healthy scratch.
He spent the majority of his final professional season in the minor leagues.
Many casual fans are unaware that he is the current holder of the NHL ironman streak.

Why he might not be annoying:

He won four Stanley Cups during the 1970s.
He was a durable player who was able to stay healthy and avoid getting injured.
He set the NHL ironman record for most consecutive games played (964).
He, along with Rod Langway were instrumental in the Capitals turnaround during the 1980's.
He was a longtime assistant coach for the Minnesota/Dallas franchise following his retirement.
