Why he might be annoying:

He's a Quebec separatist, who wants the province of Quebec to become independent of Canada.
He caused Paul Martin to not obtain a majority government.
As the leader of a federal party, he can only be elected in one province, so he will never become prime minister.
For that reason, a lot of Canadians see his party as useless.
He was a communist in his youth.
He lacks charisma.
He watched his party lose the majority of their seats to the NDP and lose official party status in the House of Commons.

Why he might not be annoying:

Unlike some other separatists, he respects English Canada and speaks perfect english.
His party obtained the majority of seats in the province of Quebec every election since its creation in 1993.
Because he can't ascend to power, he takes strong stances on every issue without compromise.
He brought out a corruption scandal in the Canadian Liberal Party.
His father was a comedian.
He is loved in his province.
He has stunning blue eyes.
He was the longest tenured leader out of the four main political parties at the time of his resignation.
