When asked if he could change anything about himself, he said he would like to be taller.
His favorite food is leftover squid, reheated on the second day.
No American has won the Formula 1 World Championship since he did (1978).

Why he might not be annoying:

His son, Michael, became a race car driver.
In 1981, he was declared the winner of the Indy 500, although he lost by 8 seconds, because the winner, Bobby Unser, passed a car during the yellow flag.
(On Appeal, Bobby Unser, was awarded the victory and Andretti was declared second).
He is second to A.J. Foyt for most formula car victories.
He nearly won a total of $12,000,000 in racing prizes.
He was born in Italy, but after World War II, his homeland was ceded to Yugoslavia.
His family escaped communism by immigrating to America.
Among drivers, he is looked upon as a classy clean driver.
