His actual name is Kay, and to top it all off, he is the second member of his family to have that name.
He admits he gets mail addressed to him as 'Ms. Kay Whitmore.'
He was inconsistent as a starter in Hartford.
He is remembered by hockey fans for being Kirk McLean's backup in Vancouver.
He bounced around the minors for five years, before returning to the NHL for a five game stint with Boston.

He excelled as a starting goaltender with Peterborough of the OHL.
He was a member of the Canucks team that reached the Stanley Cup Finals (1994).
He earned First Team All-Star honors with Long Beach of the IHL (1998).
He worked as a goaltending coach with Peterborough for the first couple seasons after his retirement.
He served as a broadcaster for the NHL on Versus during the network's first couple of seasons covering the league.
