The Resume

    (September 8, 1987- )
    Born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Gold medalist at Vancouver Olympic Winter Games (men’s freestyle skiing moguls) and World Championships at Inawashiro, Japan (dual moguls, 2009)

Why he might be annoying:

    BEEL-oh-DOE.
    He loves watching Prison Break.
Prior to his first-place finish, Canada was the only host nation that did not have a gold medal (winding up with a record 14).
If he failed to make it as an athlete, he planned to become a fighter pilot.
At the 2010 Juno Awards, he presented the Album of the Year statue to Michael Buble (which he mispronounced as ‘bubble’).

Why he might not be annoying:

Friends and family call him ‘Big Al.’
He cut a deal with his mother: he would give up hockey in exchange for moguls skiing.
The day after his medal win, he donated $25,000 to a pediatric wing (his brother had cerebral palsy and was able to walk 16 years after the initial diagnosis).
He was heavily favored to carry the big flag at the closing ceremonies (an honor ultimately given bronze medalist Joannie Rochette).
    He studied environmental sciences.
