Why he might be annoying:

    He broke the Internet - and many many hearts!
    His picture had members of Twitterverse expressing heartbreak with many of them admitting they started crying!
    He was oblivious to social media and did not understand the attention he was getting until his granddaughter explained it to him.
    His nephew Brock received threatening tweets for missing burgers with Papaw!
    He separated from his wife in 2006.
    His granddaughter innocently tweeted his photo as a gesture of appreciation but the tweet became re-tweeted more than 100,000 times by the following Thursday and 'Like'-d over 180,000 times!

Why he might not be annoying:

    His public cookout drew around 1200 visitors from all over the US, many taking hours-long road trips to meet him, take pics, buy souvenir t-shirts and have a burger! (March 26, 2016)
    He makes homemade ice cream for the kids!
    Kelsey's brother Kaleb did arrive, after the Tweet!
    Brock paid him a visit the next day to enjoy some leftover burgers, tweeted a photo, then later took him to a ball game where another grandson was playing.
    He told media that the there was a miscommunication that caused his no-show grandkids to not know about the burger dinner.
    The Monday following the tweet, The Daily Mail (UK) released new photos of him with all his six grandchildren sitting together for lunch.
    People moved by the tweet wanted to enjoy a burger with him.
    His grandson later arranged an outdoor cookout inviting the public (using Twitter) at the family flea market with Papaw himself cooking the burgers!
    As his photo became meme, people were PhotoShop-ping it creating hilarious results, one with his image superimposed on Drake's 'Take Care' album!
    The photo prompted people to call their grandparents and to commit to spending more them with them!
    That burger looks absolutely amazing!
